Bringing Christmas Joy and Toys to Every St. Bernard Girl and Boy
At Santa on the Bayou, we're dedicated to spreading the magic of Christmas to families in need.
Our mission is to ensure every child in the St. Bernard area experiences the joy and love of the birth of Jesus, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Throughout the year, we diligently source and purchase toys to secure the best bargains, ensuring every child receives a gift valued at $35 or more.
Our annual Christmas celebration, which is held on Saturday December 14 creates unforgettable memories and fosters a sense of unity and joy within our community.
Through our dedication to spreading the magic of Christmas, we strive to brighten the holidays for families facing adversity and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

I Wanna Go! When and Where Is It?!
Below are the details for the next Santa on the Bayou. We hope to see you there!
This year’s Santa on the Bayou will take place on Saturday, December 14, starting at 5:30 pm at Los Isleños Museum, 1357 Bayou Rd, St Bernard, LA 70085.
If you’d like updates, please sign up for our mailing list.
Since COVID, Santa has been a drive-through experience.
Families start lining up hours before, near the Santa venue on Hwy 46.
Then, they drive through our scenic lights.
They get to see the beautifully decorated, historic Isleno cottages.
When they reach the end of the line, we give them a gift for every child in the ages 13 and under.
Santa also gives away free hamburgers and hot dogs, because children work up an appetite while they wait in line.

Santa on the Bayou started as a ministry 25 years ago from a desire of Anthony Fernandez and others to bring joy to the community during the Christmas season.
Santa on the Bayou has since blossomed into a beloved tradition that draws thousands from around the Gulf Coast area, serving as a beacon of hope and joy for families across the region.
